There are a few different causes for the Error 1001. They typically occur due to a corruption in a Little Green Button file or service. 
The 1001 error can be observed upon uninstalling or reinstalling the Little Green Button.

1001 Root element is missing

Navigate to c:\programdata\wiggly-amps
Note: programdata is a hidden folder, you will need to type it in directly or search
Delete the LGB3 folder
Go to control panel and uninstall Little Green Button

Error 1001 Service Already Exists

Click Start, type CMD and press enter. In the black command prompt window, type: sc delete lgb3
Go to control panel and uninstall Little Green Button

Error 1001 No Service Exists

Click Start, type CMD and press enter. In the black command prompt window, type: sc create lgb3 binpath= C:\
Go to control panel and uninstall Little Green Button

Revo Uninstaller

Revo Uninstaller is a third party program that can be used to remove all associated Little Green Button files. It’s a useful application if the above options fail.
This is recommended for advanced users only, such as IT staff.

Once installed double click Little Green Button from the list.
Choose to Remove Little Green Button and click Finish
Under Scanning modes, select Moderate then Scan.

Scroll through the list of results to ensure only Little Green Button related results are present. This should be the case providing you did a Moderate Scan as opposed to an Advanced scan.
Click Select AllDeleteNext

Do the same on the next screen. Click Select AllDeleteFinish
